This session was really special to me because it's family. These two girls are my beautiful nieces, the gorgeous woman is my sister-in-law and the guy with the mustache... Well that's my brother. He refused to shave that thing off for this session, but he did agree to be in the pictures. He even smiled a few times!

Look at all that hair! I can't get over it! I think mainly because both of my kids were completely bald for the first entire year of their lives. Something else I loved about this session: The way mom and dad looked at their new baby. I felt such a strong emotional connection from both parents every time they held her. It was such an amazing feeling. I wish I could photograph newborns all the time!
These photoshoots were part of the special I was doing for the holidays. It was such a blessing to work with both of these families again and see how the kids have grown since their last session. Especially little baby Celeste. It seems like just yesterday I was doing her newborn pictures!

Happy Halloween, everyone! What's that? It was two weeks ago?! Oh well... I wanted to get a picture of my kids dressed in their costumes and it's taken me this long to do so. Not only that but I had to bribe them using left over candy. As if getting to dress up in your costume weeks after Halloween isn't enough of a reason to smile!

So technically it is fall break, and we probably should have carved pumpkins or made carmel apples. But instead, we decided to make paper snowflakes. Hey, why not. Who cares if it's still 80 degrees outside?! We'll take some snow right now, thank you very much. After cutting out all the snowflakes, I thought I would surprise my daughter by hanging them all over her ceiling. She thought this was the best thing EVER. I'm so glad I decided to forgo the cleaning today and just enjoy my kids. Afer all, when I look back in ten years I will remember this and will have completely forgotten whether or not my house was immaculate. That's what I tell myself anyway...
